Why does man build tall building, you may ask. It has been an argument for some time now whether or not size and appearance matters. To understand the presence and move forward, we need to trace back in time in our own history. In the beginning, from the very first earth day, and evolution of our ancestors, things have changed and evolved but one mysterious relationship between man and his erected entity remains unclear. In order to better understand this, we must be able to see beyond the obvious.
Man and His Erections explores the interconnection between inside and outside, physiological and psychological, self and environmental/cultural influence, conscious and subconscious, factual and fictitious. This documentary integrates two parts, the interviews and narrative, woven and reflected off one another, using the metaphor of modern architecture to lead us to a meaningful conclusion of our existence.
Synopsis:
A male porn star, JB Dover, with 13 years of experience must face a challenge of his manhood. During the filming of an x-rated production, he experiences an erectile dysfunction, causing disappointment and frustration to his co-star and most importantly Gino, the director. Affected by this unfamiliar change, his wife also has to deal with the consequences of him possibly loosing his career. While looking in the newspaper, he sees an ad for a sex clinic where they offer variety of erectile dysfunction treatments. He decides to visit the clinic first just to get some medication. Then he discovers many other alternative options. Will JB get his job back? What will happen then? Is this all that matters in his life? Find out january 2009 !(revised 04/26/2008)
